Highlights & micro-highlights in Rishon LeZion
Fine, light strands all through your hair, a soft blend and color that grows out without a harsh line. A touch-up about every 3–4 months.

Highlighting means lightening individual strands, not all of your hair at once. Most often I do micro-highlights: using a special comb, I weave out very fine strands all over the head, right from the roots. The strands come out very fine and the blend is smooth, so your hair looks lighter and fuller rather than stripy.
Why clients come for highlights: they want to go lighter, but not all-over blonde; old highlights have grown out or turned yellow and need refreshing; they want a cleaner, cooler color; or gray is starting to show and they’d like to hide it in light strands. I match the amount of light to your hair: it can be just a little or a lot.
If you’ve colored your hair with box dye, I’ll be honest: it doesn’t lighten as well, and the strands may not come out clean and light in one visit. In that case we work toward the shade you want gradually, from one touch-up to the next.
My work

after Micro-highlights
Very fine strands all over the head: from uneven color with orange ends to a light, cool blonde.

Highlights and a layered cut
The underneath layer had stayed dark; highlights through the full length evened out the color, and the layers became softer.

Highlights without the orange
The tone was uneven, with over-processed light strands and orange ones, so it took color correction, not just highlights.

How it works
Photos and color history
On WhatsApp, send me a photo of your hair in daylight and a photo of highlights you like. Tell me what you’ve colored your hair with before: it affects how light the strands can go.
Lightening the strands
I weave fine strands all over the head and lighten them with a formula chosen for your hair. Long, thick hair takes longer — allow several hours.
Treatment and toning
After lightening comes a restorative treatment, then toning to the shade you want: cool, beige or a natural light brown. It’s the toning that takes out the yellow.
Blow-dry
At the end I blow-dry and style your hair so you can see how the strands fall as it moves. I’ll explain how to look after it at home and when to come back for a touch-up.
What affects the time and price
- The length and thickness of your hair: thick hair takes more time and more product.
- Your current color and what you’ve used before: box-dyed hair is harder to lighten.
- How much light you want: a few strands around the face or all over.
- Switching from another technique for the first time — from AirTouch or all-over blonde, for example — costs more, because the strands have to be rebuilt into a new pattern. Touch-ups after that are simpler.
- The price already includes the dye, in-salon care during coloring and a blow-dry.
Aftercare and touch-ups
Highlights need a touch-up about every 3–4 months. Please don’t color your roots yourself between visits: otherwise, next time we’ll have to clean up that color first.
With every touch-up the color can get cleaner and lighter — if your hair is ready for it.
At home: a shampoo for color-treated hair and a mask once a week. I’ll help you choose them for your hair, and between visits the shade can be refreshed with toning.
Questions
How are micro-highlights different from regular highlights?
In the thickness of the strands. With micro-highlights the strands are very fine and there are lots of them, so the blend is smooth: your hair looks lighter overall, with no separate stripes. Regular highlights give a more visible, defined pattern. From a photo I’ll tell you which will suit you.
Highlights or AirTouch?
Both give you light strands, but in different ways. Highlights are crisp, fine strands from the roots; AirTouch is a soft gradient that gets lighter toward the ends. If you want the strands to show, go for highlights. If you want hair that looks lightened by the sun, go for AirTouch. From a photo and what’s already on your hair, I’ll tell you which will look better on you.
Can highlights hide gray hair?
Yes. Light strands blend in with the gray, so the roots are less noticeable as they grow. I match the amount of light to how much gray you have. If there’s only a little gray and your base is dark, the line will still show as it grows out — I’ll tell you that upfront.
Will my highlights look yellow?
I always tone the strands after lightening, and that takes out the yellow. Over time the toner washes out — then it’s enough to refresh it, without lightening your hair again.
How long do highlights take?
It depends on length and thickness. It isn’t a quick appointment: lightening the strands, a treatment, toning and a blow-dry. Long, thick hair takes several hours. I can tell you more precisely from a photo.
How much do highlights cost?
It depends on the length and thickness of your hair and what’s on it now. I’ll tell you the price once I see a photo. It already includes the dye, in-salon care during coloring and a blow-dry — and root color, if you need it.
