Blonde & toning in Rishon LeZion

A light color that suits you, without yellow. And if you don’t need lightening, there’s toning: to even out the shade, take out orange or go back to your own color.

Warm honey blonde, shoulder length, seen from behind

People choose blonde for different reasons: some want to hide gray, some love soft light shades, and for others it’s a way to feel brighter. My job is to find a blonde that suits your looks and lasts, while taking good care of your hair.

Toning is a separate service, with no lightening. It takes out yellow and orange, evens out the color through the lengths and helps you go back to a natural shade: old light strands stop standing out, and the hair looks thicker and better cared for.

All-over blonde means all of your hair is lightened, and after that the roots need lightening and toning about once a month. If you don’t want to come in that often, I’ll suggest a technique — highlights or AirTouch: you stay light, but the roots grow out more softly.

My work

Photos are only cropped; the hair color is not retouched.

How it works

  1. Photos in daylight

Send a photo of your hair in daylight and a photo of a blonde you like. How yellow hair looks in a photo depends a lot on the lighting, so daylight matters. Tell me what you’ve colored your hair with before.

  2. Comparing notes and a plan

I’ll tell you what I see in the photo: which shade and technique it is. If you aren’t all-over blonde now but that’s exactly what you want, we first need to get you there — that’s a separate stage.

  3. Lightening or toning

When you want blonde, I lighten with a formula chosen for your hair and always tone afterwards. When you only need to take out yellow or orange, I tone without lightening — that takes about an hour and a half to two hours.

  4. Treatment and blow-dry

Along the way, a treatment to restore your hair; at the end, a blow-dry. I’ll explain how to keep the shade at home.

What affects the time and price

  • Your current color and what you’ve colored your hair with before.
  • Whether you need lightening or toning is enough.
  • The length and thickness of your hair.
  • The shade you want: warm, beige, cool or powdery.
  • The price already includes the dye, in-salon care during coloring and a blow-dry.

Aftercare and touch-ups

Toner washes out over time, so the shade needs refreshing, especially on blonde. You don’t need to lighten again for that — toning is enough.

With all-over blonde I lighten the roots about once a month; with highlights and AirTouch, a touch-up is needed about every 3–4 months.

To help your blonde last, I choose care for your hair personally: I read the ingredient lists and recommend what really works. At home: a shampoo for color-treated hair, a mask and heat protection.

Questions

How do I get rid of yellow in my hair?

Toning takes out the yellow. If your hair is already light, there’s no need to lighten it again: I’ll choose a toner that neutralizes the yellow. But first it’s important to understand where the yellow comes from — so I ask for a photo in daylight, or for you to come in and show me your hair.

Can toning take me back to my natural color?

Often, yes, in a single appointment. For that you need a little regrowth at the roots: it shows me your natural color, and I choose a shade so the transition is soft and the grow-out goes unnoticed.

Warm or cool blonde — which will suit me?

It depends on your looks and on what’s on your hair now. A warm tone brightens the face and catches the light beautifully; a cool one looks cleaner. From a photo I’ll tell you which will look better on you.

Can I go from highlights to blonde?

Yes, I do this. It’s complex, multi-stage coloring, and it starts with a strand test to see how much your hair can take. It’s best to come to the studio for a consultation.

How much do toning and blonde cost?

It depends on length, thickness and your current color. For toning I’ll give you the price right away; for complex blonde, after I see a photo. The price already includes the dye, in-salon care during coloring and a blow-dry.

Send a photo — I’ll tell you what will suit you

I’ll look at your hair and the color you like, tell you honestly what will work for you and give you an idea of the price.
